Mission Brewery

Mission Brewery was founded in 1913, closed by prohibition, and resurrected in 2007. Housed in the historic Wonder Bread building, this craft beer treasure trove is only 3 blocks from SHIFT. The building is a gorgeous old brick warehouse renovated by the late local legend Bob Sinclair, making it one of the city’s more beautiful tasting rooms.

With the brewhouse flanking the tasting room, you’ll hear, smell, and see the brewing process only a few steps away. Their diverse lineup of award-winning brew has something for any palate.

This is a perfect spot for a pre-game pint. Petco Park, home of the Padres, is just a short walk from the brewery. If you’re no stranger to the more esoteric styles and nuances of craft beer, consider joining Blackbeard’s Crew (their exclusive bottle club).
